Life is a highway

Life seems like an endless highway
Kept driving recklessly without any direction
Life feels like an winnable race
Had to score high and win every competition
Age looks like a dry sand in the hand
More I tried to squeeze it slipped through all directions

Like a lighthouse I always tried to shine
Write my name on the shore before it gets wiped by the tide
As I watch the moon run the sun out of the sky
thinking what I would leave behind and what should I have tried

Did I build a bridge or build a wall?
Did I stand tall for what’s right or did I fall?
Did I make folks laugh or make them cry?
Did I help others or give my honest try?

“Eventually all pieces fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moment and know that everything happens for a reason.”
